Weddings

tutorials ROCK!

I did two new pictures today that are very different and outside of my comfort zone.
I'm curious to see how people respond, because of course, it being a new direction for me, I think it's the coolest new trick I've learned in forever!

I've got a longgg year ahead of me.

I'm not looking forward to going back to school. :(
I mean, I don't mind what I'm studying, but it's not really my passion.
I really only picked Dental Assisting because I thought I was going to be getting married by the end of this year (STUPID thought..) and even though it's going to give me a good career to work up off of, I really hope that I'll keep pursuing photography.

Ahh well. Anyway, these next couple months will be all about interning for a dentist, and I graduate in May I believe. After that, me and Mckay should be kicking off the wedding business. But I'd still like to go back to school for something involving photography...I've got so much on my mind, I don't even know where to start!

I bet nobody is even going to understand this blog, I think I just need a place to park my thoughts.

Project 365

So I've decided to try the "take one photo a day for a year" project. I know it's not the most original idea, but I think it'd be good for me, especially because I rarely commit to anything and actually follow through with it. Who knows, I could actually go all year? Or a week...regardless, it's January 1st, and what better way to start the year than with a new project? :)

New Year ; New Start.

HOORAY for 2009!
I've been dying for a fresh start. I didn't get nearly as much done this year as I wanted to, and this was probably the WORST year for photography, even though I've learned so much, and have started expanding my horizons.

Me and Mckay (imustbedead.deviantart.com) have started a Wedding Photography business that looks very promising for 2009. We're available for any wedding in the US right now (travel expenses paid, starting at around 3k per wedding), and if that actually falls through, I won't need to work much in a dental office. :) So I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'm heading up to Phoenix on the 12/13 for a fun day of photo taking (I'm going to get my hair and makeup done and model for Mckay) and we're going to further discuss the wedding stuffs, including a website, which is MUCH needed.

So stick around, because I have a feeling that there's a lot in store!
